City of Glendale reveals lineup for 30th annual 'Music in the Glen' concert series
GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The City of Glendale has unveiled the 2023 line up for its 30th annual "Music in the Glen."
This free outdoor summer concert series starts on Wednesday, June 21, lasting until Aug. 2. Performances are scheduled on select Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Richard E. Maslowski Community Park, according to a press release issued on Thursday, June 15.
The lineup of announced acts is as follows:
- June 21 – Geoff Landon’s High Country (Country) followed by a Flag Ceremony and Salute to Veterans at 6:15 p.m.
- June 28 – Randy Peterson (Children’s)
- July 12 – Latin Sound System (Latin / Americana)
- July 19 – MixTape MKE (‘80s and ‘90s)
- July 26 – Shorewood School of Rock (Rock)
- Aug. 2 – The Stephen Hull Experience (Blues / Jazz / R&B)
- Aug. 9 – Rain date, in the event that an earlier performance is cancelled due to inclement weather.
The June 21 performance will serve as the "Stars and Stripes Salute to Veterans." The event will honor veterans from all military branches, with special recognition for Vietnam Veterans, at 6:15 p.m. at the Orthopedic Hospital of Wisconsin War Memorial.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, but concessions, including Sprecher soda, will be available on-site at the Sprecher Oasis. The park also has a playground and indoor restroom facilities.
