Cinderella Dress search for Special Needs Prom

It's more than just your typical prom it's a full service event. The Ridge Community Church is putting on  \"A Night to Remember,\" a prom for young adults with special needs in our area.

The fun starts a few weeks early with the search for the perfect dress.

Its every girl's dream and the object she searches weeks, even months for:the perfect prom dress. But these ladies didn't have to look far as they had their choice of nearly 500 Cinderella dresses donated by the community.

Emma Corneliouson knew exactly what she was looking for when she walked in the doors of The Ridge church.

Searching up and down the racks for something puffy and princessy.

Her mom says this day was almost as good as prom itself

\"She woke up this morning gleaming, from ear to ear. Just really excited about coming,\" she said.

Event organizer Sadie Baile says that is what it's all about.

\"Allowing them to get that princess dress because it can be so expensive but other than that we really just wanted to have another reason to bring the community together and celebrate these girls at the end of the day. It's all about love,\" said Baile.

Emma tried on dress after dress.

\"She was a little worried she wouldn't find a dress,\" said her mom.

She even hit the racks again.

Before finding this little number....

But the dress is just the start. The girls are also given their choice of shoes and accessories.

\"They get a limo ride, they're getting their hair and makeup done at Vici salon beforehand,\" said Baile.

Its a series of events that's got Emma's mom basking in her daughter's joy.

\"Emma's super excited to be going to prom. A lot of kids like her don't always have the opportunity to do something like this so its absolutely wonderful. She's been telling people about this event for three weeks now and I'm positive she'll be talking about it for the next month straight,\" said her mother.
