Chomp! Badgers take a bite out of 11th ranked Florida

MADISON - The Badgers rose to the challenge in an early-season test Tuesday night, beating 11th ranked Florida 59-53 at the Kohl Center in Madison.


Wisconsin went on a 13-0 run late in the first half, sparked by Sam Dekker and Trayvon Jackson, and held the lead through the second half.


Jackson, who finished with 13, hit a key bucket with just 11 seconds left and the Badgers leading by three. Dekker finished with a team-high 16.


Wisconsin (2-0) has beaten St. John's and Florida for its first two regular season wins. The Badgers play at UW-Green Bay Saturday.
