Chilly end to July and start of August

The Climate Prediction Center is forecasting a cooler than average end of the month and start of August. The culprit to this weather pattern is a digging trough that hangs over the Midwest, Great Lakes, and Northeast. Cooler circulations and temperatures are being brought in this trough from Canada. Temperatures during this pattern, starting by later this week, will drop into the 70s.

There are even suggestions from model data by early August temps could fall into the 60s. This is still over a week out; however, this is something to think about, keep in mind when planning, and watch in the 10-day forecast to see how this evolves. The last time Milwaukee dropped below 70 was back on June 25th.
