MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Kids got to be kids at Children's Wisconsin today.
The hospital hosted its Winter Carnival on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Patients and their families enjoyed hot cocoa and played winter themed carnival games. Santa Claus made a special appearance, and kids hung out with therapy dogs dressed as reindeer.
"By doing these events kids are able to not miss out on all the normal things they would be doing at home families are able to be families, kids are able to be kids," said Leslie Scott with Children's Wisconsin's Child Life Team.
The Winter Carnival is Children's Wisconsin's longest running event.
