MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Children's Wisconsin hosted its annual Winter Carnival on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
Patients and their families were treated to winter fun on Children's Wisconsin Milwaukee Campus.
The afternoon was filled with winter themed games, hot cocoa, coffee, donut decorating, and holiday appetizers from around the world.
"We want to give them the opportunity to still have some of that magic here at the hospital, and we know that when kids can act like kids, they actually heal faster. They cope better, " said Leslie Scott, certified Child Life Specialist with Children's Wisconsin.
Santa Claus, Elsa from Disney's "Frozen" and therapy dogs dressed as reindeer were there to spread holiday cheer.
