Cherry Blossoms at Peak Bloom

Washington D.C.’s famous cherry blossoms are now at peak bloom.

70 percent of the blossoms are fully blooming.

This year, the cherry blossoms are a little more subdued than usual because of some freeze damage.

The 3,000 cherry trees were planted in 1912 and were a gift from Japan.
