MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Lakefront Brewery is showing their appreciation for Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) employees by treating them to a free beer on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
The brewery is praising MCTS drivers as local, everyday heroes.
"Not only are they helping Milwaukee natives get to where they need to be on a daily basis, but they’re helping the homeless, rescuing children, and rushing into burning buildings too," Lakefront Brewery said in a news release.
In order to receive the free beer, employees just need to provide proof of their current employment with MCTS.
“A free beer is the least we could do for these employees that are such an integral and important part of Milwaukee County” says Lakefront Brewery President and Founder Russ Klisch, “we got wind that we could see a good crowd of MCTS employees on Wednesday, and not just bus drivers, we hope everyone involved in that system can make it over.”
The free beer is available during business hours from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
