Charity event in Cudahy marred by theft, up to $6K stolen

CUDAHY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Approximately $5,000 to $6,000 in cash was reportedly stolen from a charity event at Joe’s “K” Ranch in Cudahy, a function coordinated with the Cudahy Lions Club.

The Sunday, July 23 event aimed to raise funds for the Wisconsin Burn Camp and provide college scholarships for Cudahy High School graduates. The Cudahy Police Department are seeking two female suspects that they believe took a bank bag containing the money.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic female, estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old. She wore a white long-sleeve shirt and black shorts and carried a large black bag.

The second suspect is another Hispanic female, likely in her 20s to 30s, wearing a light-colored crop top and black leggings.

A silver Chevy is believed to be the vehicle involved, possibly a Malibu.

The Cudahy Police Department seeks public assistance in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information is urged to contact the department at (414) 769-2260.

Tuesday evening police released additional photos of a male suspect who they say drove the suspects to and from the event.
