MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The man charged with walking away from his murder trial will spend life in prison.
Last year, 25-year-old Dwayne Chaney escaped his trial just before he was convicted of the murder of Michael Prescott. Chaney cut off his GPS monitoring and police found him days later hiding in a garbage can.
Friday's sentencing was a continuation from last week after the hearing was abruptly ended when Chaney was attacked by Prescott's sister.
