Champions! Carli Lloyd's magic helps US win World Cup

Carli Lloyd pulled off one of the most incredible feats in women's soccer history, scoring three goals in just 16 minutes to help the U.S. defeat Japan 5-2 in the Women's World Cup final in Vancouver Sunday evening.

Lloyd became the first player ever to score a hat trick in a Women's World Cup final, and also notched the fastest hat trick in Women's World Cup history.

The third of Lloyd's goals might have been the most memorable, a booming kick from the middle of the pitch that sailed behind the staggering Japanese goalkeeper and into the net to give the Americans a 4-0 lead.

The Women's World Cup championship is the third for the U.S.A.
