MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – America has come a long way from the days when the service of Vietnam veterans was not appreciated.
Thursday marked National Vietnam Veterans Day.
At the Milwaukee VA Center, they held a ceremony for those vets. Each veteran got a special lapel pin and they watched as a hallway was dedicated to their service with artwork laying out the history of the sacrifices they made.
Thursday’s events also included a wreath-laying at the Wood National Cemetery in honor of the Vietnam veterans no longer with us.
