Cedarburg to welcome 72K square foot indoor recreation facility
CEDARBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Friday, Dec. 1 announcement revealed that Cedarburg is set to expand its recreational offerings with the construction of a new 72,000 square foot multi-use facility. This addition, spearheaded by Steve Becker of Athlete Performance, aims to be an enhancement to the town's current athletic and leisure amenities.
The facility is planned serve accommodate a variety of sports and activities.
The primary tenant, Athlete Performance, will utilize a substantial portion of the gym for training purposes. They specialize in improving youth athletes' performances. The expansive gymnasium will also be home to North Shore United Soccer, and I AM Volleyball, providing them a year-round training space.
In addition to youth sports, the complex plans to host pickleball group sports from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., during September to May. Volleyball and futsal tournaments will take place from September to June, along with intramural adult leagues for these sports.
Additional tenants will offer services such as sports psychology, nutrition, massage and various therapies. Construction is slated to begin over the winter, with an anticipated opening in the fall of 2024.
Operating hours will be from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
