WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- During Jessob Reisbeck's interview with the family of Jackson Sparks, they talked about the upcoming Waukesha parade.
Eight-year-old Jackson Sparks was one of the six people who was killed when Darrell Brooks drove through the parade last year.
Countless people were affected forever by the attack, but few were affected as deeply as Sheri and Aaron Sparks.
"Will you guys go to the parade this year?" Jessob asked.
"No," the Sparks family replied. "I just don't think we're ready. We're super excited for those who are, and I don't want to tell anyone that they shouldn't. We're just not ready for that and we asked Tucker...if he's not comfortable, we're not doing it."
Aaron added that they may go to a future parade because they don't want the attacker to be able to steal that from them.
They're just not ready this year.
