An inmate at the Milwaukee County Jail is now facing additional charges after an assault against a correctional officer.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, a correctional officer saw an inmate exhibiting bizarre behavior.
According to the Sherriff's Office, the 19-year-old inmate was laying on the ground and sliding around on her back. The inmate did not comply with orders and the correctional officer called for backup.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the inmate then assaulted the correctional officer and continued resisting. A backup correctional officer used a Taser to gain control.
The inmate was medically cleared. The correctional officer was treated at a local hospital and released.
The inmate was in custody for Battery and now faces an additional Battery charge.
