Casserole Call to feature local restaurants, seeking 'Milwaukee's Best Casserole'

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Central Waters Milwaukee Taproom is preparing to host the inaugural Casserole Call, a culinary event where local restaurants will showcase their unique spins on the classic Midwest dish. Participants can sample a variety of casseroles and vote for "Milwaukee’s Best Casserole."

The Sunday, Dec. 10 event is expected to draw foodies from across the region, offering a chance to explore local flavors and community fellowship.

Milwaukee Record has collaborated with several area restaurants for the occasion. Culinary contenders include Archie’s Flat Top, Beans & Barley, Crafty Cow, Flour Girl & Flame, Hot Dish Pantry, Semolina MKE, Tots on the Street and Trouble Makers Cocina, with possibilities for additional entries pending.

Tickets grant attendees three sample vouchers, with the option to purchase more, with a cap of 200 tickets available.

The proceeds from the event will support the Kinship Community Food Center, contributing to local efforts to combat food insecurity. Central Waters Milwaukee Tap Room is located at 1037 W. Juneau Ave., where the community can indulge in heartwarming dishes for a cause.
