Carroll student reported being touched inappropriately while walking near campus
A female student at Carroll University reported a man came up from behind her and grabbed her inappropriately while she was walking near campus on September 18 at 4:10 PM.
The suspect then took off running. The student did not sustain any injuries.
Carroll University released the following statement about the incident, “The safety and well being of our students is a top priority at Carroll University. We are fortunate to be located in a quiet, residential neighborhood and this incident is atypical. Carroll's Department of Public Safety regularly patrols campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we have increased our presence near the scene of the incident.
Carroll's Department of Public Safety also offers a free, 24/7 shuttle service to all students and we are encouraging students to take advantage of that service. We have notified our students and campus community to use caution and provided them with tips on staying safe when walking alone. Our Department of Public Safety continues to work closely and in cooperation with the Waukesha Police Department as they investigate this incident and work to apprehend the suspect."
