Carjackers can't drive stick shift

SEATTLE -- Three teens tried to steal an elderly woman's car in Seattle, but one thing stood in their way. None of the teens knew how to drive a stick shift car.

70-year-old Nancy Fredrickson was grabbing something from the trunk of her car when she saw a gun inches away from her face. She dropped her keys, and three teens jumped in her Kia. Fredrickson said she just stood and watched as the three would be carjackers tried to get the car moving.

The teens panicked and fled the scene. Surveillance video shows the teens running as fast as they can across nearby parking lots. Police also have DNA evidence thanks to the unsuccessful attempts by the carjackers to drive the car.

Fredrickson tells reporters she's happy both she and her car survived the ordeal unharmed.
