Car fire blocks one lane of traffic on I-41 in Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One lane of traffic on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac was blocked while crews put out a car fire Monday morning. 

It happened just before 7:00 a.m. in the southbound lane of I-41, south of Highway 000. Firefighters say when they arrived, they found a fully involved "smart car" pulled off on the far right shoulder. The vehicle's occupant was able to get out of the vehicle safely. 

Fond du Lac County Sheriff's deputies were on the scene to help with traffic and scene management. 

The vehicle was towed away and normal traffic resumed.
