WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 35-year-old West Allis man was arrested after police say he fled from a traffic stop and then crashed into a shed and garage. 

Police say just after 9 a.m., a caller indicated a man had come from a bar in the area near 97th and Greenfield and fell in a parking lot while carrying a drink in his hand. 

The man reportedly got into a white Audi and almost struck the caller's vehicle and a fence while driving onto Greenfield Avenue. 

An officer spotted the Audi and witnessed the driver swerve into the traffic almost striking the West Allis Police Department squad car. 

Police tried to make a traffic stop, but officials say the driver turned off his vehicle lights, did not stop and started a pursuit. 

The pursuit ended when the fleeing driver struck a garage, two vehicles, and came to rest inside a shed adjacent to the garage. 

The driver was arrested for eluding an officer, second degree recklessly endangering safety, operating while intoxicated -- his third offense -- and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. 

The driver was transported to a hospital for treatment and then taken to jail. 

The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office will be reviewing the case for charges in the coming days.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) — A car crashed into a shed Thursday night in West Allis, damaging the structure and a nearby garage.

CBS 58 News is at the scene near 91st Street and Manitoba Avenue, where the vehicle came to rest after striking the shed.

It is not yet known what led up to the crash or whether anyone was injured.
