CALEDONIA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Although we’re a long way from Texas, people here in Wisconsin are still feeling the effects of Harvey. A local business owner in Caledonia now has to rebuild her Texas location.
Theresa Isaacson owns the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Caledonia along with an RV Park in Rockport, Texas. She says when Hurricane Harvey struck her crew in Texas had to evacuate and when they returned the RV Park was destroyed.
Pictures show flooding, overturned trailers, and downed power lines are just a few of the problems they are now facing. All 80 of their RV sites are damaged. Isaacson says their insurance won’t cover the damage, but they are going to rebuild.
"It’s devastation. The struggle is real. However, it’s material items. Our people are safe. We’re safe. We’re just going to go do what we have to do," said Isaacson.
Theresa Isaacson will be traveling to Texas either Sunday or Monday to begin the clean-up process.
