MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Retired Green Bay Packers legend LeRoy Butler is taking a stand against bullying in schools. He was at Divine Destiny School in Milwaukee on Thursday, Nov. 13, speaking to students about the negative impacts of bullying.
It's all part of a program Butler founded around three years ago. He highlights the social problems that arise from bullying and shows how it can impact everyone in the classroom.
"The blueprint is really easy, listen to your family, mom, dad, grandparents, teachers," Butler said. "It's not up to other kids whether or not you make it or not. It's up to you."
Butler hopes that with every school visit he can help create a community of support for kids, parents, and teachers.
So far, he's traveled to over 70 schools and has spread his message to over 100,000 students across Wisconsin.
