Buskerfest to brings music, magic and storytelling to downtown Milwaukee this weekend

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Buskerfest is set to make its return to Milwaukee starting Friday, Aug. 6.

The festival runs from Friday, Aug. 6, to Sunday, Aug. 8 at multiple locations throughout downtown Milwaukee.

The multi-act event is part of a series of programs under Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21’s Jumpst(ART) Downtown campaign.

Buskerfest is produced in partnership with Sculpture Milwaukee.

Over 60 local acts will perform at locations in East Town, Westown and the Historic Third Ward, including various Sculpture Milwaukee sites where performances will feature a variety of genres—hip hop and R&B, jazz, Americana, acoustic, instrumental, funk and soul.

Each act will perform for an hour and tips are encouraged.

Signage with will be posted next to each performer with virtual tip options to help local music thrive.

Buskerfest coincides with the USA Triathlon, which will welcome thousands of athletes and visitors to downtown Milwaukee.
