Burlington Woman Arrested for OWI With 9-Year-Old in Car
RACINE COUNTY - A Burlington woman, Gina Arb, is facing charges including OWI (3rd Offense) and Operating with a Passenger < 16 yrs.
According to the criminal complaint, a deputy observed a red Cavalier traveling southbound on Wheatland Road which came back showing a suspended registration. The Deputy conducted a traffic stop and noted Arb as the driver. A 37-year-old woman was in the passenger seat and that woman's 9-year-old daughter was in the backseat.
The deputy could smell the odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle. According to the criminal complaint, the passenger stated she had a drink before getting in the vehicle and Arb stated she spilled a bottle of Kessler on the floor of the passenger seat.
Arb failed two of the Field Sobriety Tests. Arb also refused a Preliminary Breath Test. She was placed under arrest and transported to Burlington Memorial Hospital for a blood draw.
According to the criminal complaint, Arb became agitated and began to swear and yell loudly and aggressively at deputies.
Arb had a BAC of .213. A review of Arb's driving record indicates that she had two prior convictions for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated.
