Burlington to open new Milwaukee store, pledges $5K to local academy

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Burlington Stores, a national off-price retailer, is set to unveil a new store in Milwaukee's Southgate Marketplace. This addition will elevate the total count of the firm's locations in Wisconsin to 11.

The grand opening will also be marked by a donation of $5,000 to the Jeremiah Curtin Leadership Academy teachers, which the company noted in a Monday, July 24 press release is part of its commitment to education.

In partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, the donation aims to furnish high-need students with crucial classroom materials. The funds will be handed over during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, exemplifying Burlington's dedication to community welfare.

On Friday, July 28, doors will open at 3441 South 27th St. The store will operate from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, extending hours until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and closing at 10 p.m. on Sundays.

As part of the new store's grand opening, the first 100 customers on Friday and Saturday will receive a "Burlington WOW! Buck" that will reveal a prize amount to be used toward a purchase. Sunday's offering will be a free Burlington canvas tote, while supplies last.
