Burke Foundation donates $500K to improve Milwaukee playgrounds

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The program that fixes up Milwaukee's playgrounds is getting a big boost.

A $500,000 gift has been announced to MKE Plays. It comes from the Burke Foundation, which was created by the founder of Trek bicycles.

This is the biggest single contribution ever to MKE Plays, and the money will be used to improve two playgrounds in Milwaukee's central city -- one at 29th and Melvina, and one near 30th and Locust.
