MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee Bucks are once again throwing down a fitness challenge to local kids.
Mascot Bango brought the Rim Rockers to Longfellow Elementary school on Milwaukee's south side to launch the team's 30-day fitness challenge.
It's something they started last year, giving kids tips on healthy eating and activities that will keep them in good shape.
"The students see them as role models in the community and they motivate the students to make lifestyle changes. Then they take that to heart and then they try to start doing what they're asking them to do," said Longfellow Elementary Principal Rosa Cerda Castaneda.
The Bucks are taking the challenge to three other schools in the city. Then in February, the team will host a BUCKSFit Challenge at the BMO Harris Bradley Center that will be open to everyone.
