Bucks to Play Preseason Game in Madison

The Milwaukee Bucks, in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, announced Monday the team will play an exhibition game against the Minnesota Timberwolves this October.

The game will be played at the Kohl Center, the home of the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team, on October 20 at 7 p.m. It's the first time the Bucks have played a preseason game in Madison since 1999, when they played the Dallas Mavericks. UW-Madison Athletic Director Barry Alvarez, Badgers head coach Bo Ryan, Bucks head coach Jason Kidd, and general manager John Hammond were all in attendance. Hammond called the agreement a way to build the team's profile around Wisconsin.

\"The passion for basketball in Madison is unparalleled,\" explained Hammond. \"We're beyond excited to bring Bucks basketball to the capital and reconnect with the amazing fans at the Kohl Center.

Also part of Monday's announcement, the Bucks will host a four-day training camp in Madison from September 29 through Oct. 2.
