Bucks release 2026-27 schedule, including Giannis' return to Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Bucks released their 2026-27 regular season schedule on Thursday, Aug. 13, setting the dates for Giannis Antetokounmpo's first games against his former team since being traded to the Miami Heat on July 6.

The Bucks face the Heat in Miami on Nov. 18, with Antetokounmpo returning to Fiserv Forum for the first time as a visitor when the Heat play in Milwaukee on Jan. 28. Antetokounmpo spent his entire career with the Bucks before the trade, winning two MVP awards and the franchise's first championship in 50 years in 2021.

The schedule also includes matchups against the defending NBA champion New York Knicks and a Philadelphia 76ers team remade this offseason around LeBron James and Jaylen Brown, with New York coming to Milwaukee for the first time on Dec. 2 and Philadelphia visiting Fiserv Forum for the first time on New Year's Day.

The Bucks will also compete in the 2026 Emirates NBA Cup as part of East Group A alongside Brooklyn, Detroit, Orlando and Toronto. Group play begins Nov. 6 against the Raptors at Fiserv Forum and continues Nov. 13 at the Magic, before closing with home and road games against the Nets and Pistons on Nov. 25 and Nov. 27.

Quarterfinals and semifinals take place in home markets Dec. 4-5 and Dec. 8-9, with the championship set for Friday, Dec. 11, at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
