Bucks plant trees at Milwaukee school

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Students at the Milwaukee School of Languages with excellent attendance got to take a break from the classroom Tuesday morning.

They teamed up with the Bucks' mascot, Bango, to plant four trees as part of the Trees for Threes program.

Students plant a tree at their school for each three-point-shot the Bucks make at home.

It's a record year for both the Bucks and for the program.

"As the third year of this program, the first year we donated 355 trees. Last year it was 343. This year 573 trees," said Anne Spaltholz, ATC Director of Corporate Communications.

American Transmission Company pays for the trees. The program plants trees at schools across Wisconsin.
