Bucks host "Empowering Women Through Sports" panel discussion

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Bucks hosted a discussion at the Deer District Friday called "Empowering Women Through Sports."

It was about highlighting the efforts and achievements of those in the Milwaukee community who are educating and inspiring women of all ages.

"If I could send a message to girls at any age...be confident, believe in yourself, and know what you are capable of, because we are all capable of a lot of great things," Marquette Women's Lacrosse Coach Meredith Black said. "You have to believe in yourself first. People will help you along the way, and through sports you can gain that confidence in yourself."

Friday's panel discussion was held right before a watch party for team USA's game against France in the World Cup.
