CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It still seems a little weird to see Giannis and "Miami Heat" together. And Bucks GM Jon Horst admits there's still a wide range of emotions after trading one of the best players in the NBA.
In talking via Zoom for the first time about the trade, Horst says it wasn't a "have to" when it comes to the trade. But they truly believed they found an opportunity which is unique, admitting they might be right and they might be wrong.
CBS 58's Lance Allan asked the Bucks general manager about how his team will be much younger and inexperienced -- will there be patience required?
"Great question, Lance. It's a, I don't know. We're going to live through it," Jon Horst says. "You know, starting today, you know, and then tomorrow and the next day. Patience is going to be important. Complacency has no role. You know, there's no just sit and accept losing or accept lack of competition or any of those things. But I do think there's obviously a patience component to it."
Horst added that no one is sitting here and saying that we're a better team today after trading Giannis.
