MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Bucks' mascot, Bango, helped a public charter elementary school in Milwaukee celebrate their new permanent campus.
Rocketship Transformation Prep cut the ribbon unveiling their new north side home on Thursday, Oct. 31.
The school serves students from predominantly low-income backgrounds in grades K-4 through fourth grades.
Bango, along with school leaders and families, were on-hand for the celebration of their new campus on 68th Avenue.
"We are super excited to be able to open up facility allow us to accept more students offer great education to more families on the north side of Milwaukee," said Kourtney Vang, Founding Principal of Rocketship Transformation Prep.
Rocketship purchased the former Blessed Savior Catholic Church north campus site earlier this year.
The gym and cafeteria will be open for Rocketship use starting in August of 2020.
