Brown Deer officer charged in 2016 shooting resigns

BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Brown Deer police officer who was charged with shooting a man in the back after a disturbance on a county bus has resigned. 

Devon Kraemer had her case dismissed in April after it ended in a mistrial. The shooting happened in 2016. 

Kraemer was still employed by the police department during the investigation and trial. The Brown Deer Police Department says her resignation was effective on July 9.
