Brown Deer man found hiding in creek after breaking girlfriend's belongings

BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Brown Deer Man was taken into custody on Wednesday night after police found him hiding in a creek.

Police responded to a home in the 8200 block of N. 52nd Street shortly after 9 p.m. for a report of a man who was acting aggressively and breaking objects inside of a home.

Police spoke with the suspect's girlfriend who said that the 41-year-old man threw objects around the home and broke her cell phone. The woman's' daughter had locked herself in the bathroom during the altercation but the suspect was able to break down the door and break her cell phone, as well.

The suspect was located as he was attempting to hide in a nearby creek.

He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to Property.
