DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The sheriff's office says a 48-year-old Brookfield woman has died after a crash in Dodge County Wednesday morning, Dec. 10.
Deputies responded to State Highway 49 near County Highway YY just before 8:30 a.m. in the township of Leroy.
According to an initial investigation, a semi car hauler driven by a 32-year-old man was traveling eastbound on Highway 49 as a Rav-4 driven by the 48-year-old woman was traveling westbound on Highway 49 behind a truck conducting snowplow operations. A Highlander driven by a 63-year-old man was also traveling westbound behind the woman.
The sheriff's office says the woman lost control and crossed the center line of the road, colliding with the semi car hauler, which pushed the Rav-4 into the path of the Highlander. The semi car hauler then went into a south ditch.
Officials say the drivers of the semi car hauler and the Highlander were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Team.
