Brookfield Car Shooting Victims were Intentionally Followed

Brookfield Police Department said there have been developments in the investigation of the car being shot at on October 28 on Burleigh. 
Police said the victims were not from Brookfield. They were only passing through. 
The victims were intentionally followed and targeted, and the man was the intended target. 
The man was hit twice by gunfire while driving with a woman and young child in Brookfield on October 28 at 6:07 PM.
Female driver and male passenger, along with a young child were driving west on Capitol Drive near Calhoun Road when they believe they were being followed. 
The incident is not a road rage incident.
They then proceeded south on Calhoun Road and then east on Burleigh, on Burleigh west of Pilgrim when their vehicle was shot at and the male was struck twice.  
He was transported to Froedtert Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He has been released from the hospital. 
The driver and young child were not struck or injured.       
The victim was shot in the upper leg and chin.
