Brookfield Brothers Survive Premature Birth and Thrive

Brookfield - More than nine percent of the babies born in Wisconsin are born premature. In their first few weeks, sometimes months, they fight to survive. Not all of them make it.

Two young Brookfield brothers are among the survivors thanks in large part to the March of Dimes. The Soiney’s shared their story with CBS 58’s Jessica Tighe ahead of the March for Babies walk in Milwaukee. They’re one of the families participating. Watch their story above.

You can help in the fight against premature birth by walking in March for Babies. The event is Saturday, April 30 at Veterans Park along Milwaukee’s lakefront. Registration starts at 9:00 AM. The walk starts at 10:00 AM.

Money raised at the walk will support programs that help mothers have healthy babies. It also goes to fund research to find causes of premature birth.
