MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Marcus Performing Arts and the Milwaukee Theater District brought back 'Broadway Skates' at Red Arrow Park.
Families took advantage of free skate rentals and danced on the ice to songs from award-winning musicals.
There was even a special performance from Ice Theater MKE.
This year, ice skaters performed "The Room Where It Happens" from 'Hamilton', a revolutionary play of passion, unstoppable ambition and the dawn of a new nation.
"It's been super fun. Just trying to get the atmosphere going for the Broadway shows that are touring so this has been a really fun gig for us," said Tara Stamm, Ice Theater MKE.
It's the last weekend to see Hamilton at the Marcus Performing Arts Center.
There are three more performances including an 8 p.m. show tonight, Jan. 31.
