Brice Turang lone Brewers rep for Team USA 

PHOENIX, ARIZONA (CBS 58) -- Batting leadoff in the first spring training game? Brice Turang the second baseman.

The lone representative for the Brewers on Team USA on the upcoming World Baseball Classic. "Representing your country and being around the guys and learning from them," Turang says. "And being able to go out and compete against other teams and yeah I’m really excited for sure."

How cool is it that you have a couple of teammates that are going to be on other teams and you gotta go at it? 

"Yeah it’s cool. We’re all from all over the place and it’s good to be able to go out there and compete. It will be fun," Turang says. 

Turang is a sacrificial teammate with his Christian faith. 

"Maybe reach a teammate.  And that’s why I’m here," Turang says. "Faith is so important for me and understanding that there’s more to life than this game."

But that doesn't diminish his fire to go a step or two beyond last year.  

"You know obviously our end goal is to win the World Series. Every year. That’s how it is," Turang says. 

Everyone is aware of how good Turang is defensively. But offensively? His numbers have improved every season. Even drawing MVP votes last season.
