MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers and X-Golf America are partnering to bring a new, state-of-the-art indoor golf experience to American Family Field.
The 11,000 square-foot facility will be open year-round, seven days a week, during Brewers games and on non-game days.
It will be located in what was previously the Stadium Club on the club level.
The Brewers say the facility will feature seven indoor golf simulator bays over two floors, with three bays that offer expansive views of the playing field. Specialty drinks and pub fare will be available year-round.
And it's no coincidence the company is partnering with the Brewers. The owners of some X-Golf locations in Wisconsin just so happen to be die-hard Brewers fans.
"The meeting we had to discuss -- should we do this, should we start these -- happened at a Brewer game. Like a 17-inning game against the Pirates, we had to put our whole plan together and get everything set to go," said Shawn DeMain, owner of X-Golf Mequon, Brookfield and Appleton locations.
X-Golf will also be home to golf leagues and tournaments throughout the year.
The facility is set to open late in the 2022 baseball season.
