Brewers snap skid behind Nelson's strong outing

Jimmy Nelson surrendered just an unearned run over 6 2/3 innings as the Brewers snapped a losing skid with a 4-2 win over the Padres Tuesday night at Miller Park.

Nelson gave up three hits, struck out four and walked only one Padres batter. Ryan Braun had two hits and walked twice and Khris Davis drove in two runs for the Brewers, who evened up the series with the Padres at one game a piece.

The four game set concludes with a 7:10 first pitch Wednesday and a 1:10 first pitch Thursday.
