Brewers shut out by Pirates Saturday; magic number still 5

PITTSBURGH - There was no rally in the Brewers bats Saturday night. Trevor Williams and the Pirates bullpen combined for a 3-0 shutout of Milwaukee Saturday night at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.

Starling Marte's double brought in two runs in the third, and neither team scored from there until Colin Moran's RBI single in the eighth.

The Brewers (88-67) still have a magic number of five, pending the outcome late Saturday night of the Rockies-Diamondbacks game in Arizona.

Zach Davies lasted just four innings and took the loss for the Brewers, who finish up their series in Pittsburgh Sunday afternoon before heading to St. Louis for three games.
