MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- To celebrate its 2023 Student Achiever program winners, Lancaster School welcomed Milwaukee Brewers' rookie outfielder Blake Perkins for a visit. 

A total of 31 students were surprised Friday, June 9, with a nomination and by Perkins' visit.

The Student Achiever program is sponsored by the presenting partner of Milwaukee Brewers baseball, UW Credit Union, and recognizes academic achievement and effort.

Perkins handed out the awards during Friday's recognitions ceremony, along with Brewers ticket vouchers.

This year, the credit union recognized a total of 3,000 students from 65 southeastern Wisconsin schools.
