MILWAKEE, WI (CBS 58) – The scene at Miller Park was a lot calmer on Monday and drier than Sunday’s celebration at a chilly Coors Field.
Those champaign celebrations just keep coming for the crew now headed to the National League Championship Series after sweeping the Colorado Rockies.
The team returned home Monday afternoon.
Sunday’s victory marked the 11th straight win for the team. The celebrations have been nonstop for the team as they head into the National Championship Series.
We asked some of the younger players like Orlando Arcia if it’s sunk in yet that they’re playing for the National League Championship. Through a translator Arcia said it hasn’t but plans on doing what he knows best and that’s working hard.
“No, we’re not even thinking about that”, says outfielder Keon Broxton. “We know we have a task every day to get done and we work hard to get that done. We just take it day by day and every day we try to do something better”.
We asked the players what message they’d like to send to fans ahead of Friday and they said to simply buckle up and be ready.
