Brewers pick up first baseman in trade with Blue Jays

The Brewers are not wasting any time answering their need at first base this offseason.

A trade with the Toronto Blue Jays has netted the Brewers slugging first baseman Adam Lind, who hit .321 with 6 home runs this past season but has topped 20 homers in a season four times in his career. The Brewers sent Marco Estrada to Toronto in the deal. Estrada was 7-6 with a 4.36 ERA in 39 appearances in 2014. He was demoted to the bullpen after struggling as a starter to begin the 2014 season.
