Brewers open renovated stadium in Phoenix with loss to Padres

PHOENIX - Nearly a year of work culminated Tuesday with the opening of the Brewers' renovated spring training home.

American Family Fields of Phoenix opened its doors Tuesday, and the fans filed in to watch the Brewers battle the San Diego Padres. The visitors won the game 3-1.

Players have been raving about the Brewers complex, which received a $65 million facelift over the last year. The stadium boasts a new video board and new playing surface, and the complex includes upgraded fields and a much larger Brewers team store.

Opening Day happens March 28th, as the Brewers face the Cardinals at Miller Park.
