Brewers lose grip on first place after sixth straight loss

CHICAGO - Khris Davis and Gerardo Parra hit back to back home runs in the seventh inning, but those were the only Brewers runs in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.

The loss, combined with the Cardinals win against Pittsburgh, drops the Brewers out of first place. They had held the NL Central's top spot every day since April 5th.

Jeremy Jeffress served up a solo homer to Luis Valbuena in the eighth, an insurance run for the Cubs.

The Brewers have now lost six straight games.
