GERMANTOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) – Ahead of Game 3 of the National League Division Series (NLDS), some fans may wish the Milwaukee Brewers good luck with the phrase, "Break a leg." One Germantown fan took it a little too seriously while celebrating the win in Game 2.

Mitchell Keiper CBS 58

Mitchell Keiper of Germantown was watching the game at his parents’ home in Glendale when Jackson Chourio made history with a walk-off to win Sunday night.

“I see it go past the second basemen, I jump in the air, and when I land, part of my foot bends and the other part doesn’t,” Keiper said. “I watched them celebrate, but I was just in absolute agony. Everyone thought I was being dramatic but turns out I wasn’t.”

Keiper’s wife posted a video to TikTok about the injury while celebrating the win. Keiper said he received an X-ray of his injury where he says he can see his broken foot. The lifelong Brewers fan and father of two was willing to take it all the way, so the Crew does the same.

“I’m trying to enjoy the moment as much as possible,” Keiper said. “They have to win the world series now. I mean come on. If there’s anything, Brewers, just help me out and make this worth it.”
