Brewers bested by Kershaw 5-1

MILWAUKEE - The Brewers bats were silenced by Clayton Kershaw, who combined with Kenley Jansen to hold the Brewers to just one run in a 5-1 loss Sunday at Miller Park.

Jimmy Nelson allowed just two runs in six innings of work, but the Brewers bullpen surrendered three more runs to the Dodgers.

Ryan Braun's RBI single in the first accounted for the Brewers only run. There were other chances to score, but an aggressive Brewers team ran into several outs on the bases, including three outs at third base.

Despite the loss, the Brewers took 2 of 3 from the Dodgers and 4 of 6 overall on the homestand.
